Is this an employee position?
No. Cleaners accept work as independent contractors, not employees of Neat Hive. You control your availability and service area and are responsible for your own transportation, supplies, taxes, and insurance.
How does cleaner pay work?
Each assignment pays a contracted job rate rather than an hourly wage. When converted to an hourly basis, our rates are highly competitive and above industry averages. Cleaners keep 100% of customer tips. We also offer a series of bonuses that can increase total pay.
Can I keep my own cleaning clients?
Yes. Neat Hive does not require exclusivity. You can keep building your own client base and block those times on your calendar. Customer relationships introduced through Neat Hive are handled under the contractor agreement.
Can an existing cleaning team apply?
Yes. Individuals and established small teams are welcome to apply. Every person who may enter a customer home must complete their own screening, agreement, background check, and onboarding.
Do I need to bring cleaning supplies?
Yes. Independent cleaners provide their own professional supplies and equipment. You should be comfortable adapting to customer requests for low-toxicity or unscented products when needed.
Do I need liability insurance before I apply?
No. You may apply without an active policy. If selected, you will need general liability insurance within your first few weeks working with Neat Hive.
